Mpact IT aims to provided community support on various levels… however, the main focal points are giving back to our immediate community and education and support for entrepreneurship.
Mpact IT envisions of a world in which young and old alike can achieve their dreams and aspirations. To get there, we need to provide education, finances, mentorship and access to ensure that more entrepreneurs can succeed in education and finance for successful business ventures.
The Game Changer
Successful entrepreneurs have so many things they “know now that they wished they ‘knew then” – that’s experience. About twenty percent of business startups fail in the first year. About half succumb to business failure within five years primarily because they lack the know-how, capital, and resources isn’t it about time we change the game?
Mpact IT is a non-profit with a mission to build lasting relationships in our communities by creating initiatives; platforms and resources that foster entrepreneurship This year we are introducing The Game Changer.
The Game Changer is national protection geared toward giving budding entrepreneurs the chance to secure business deals that will better equip them for success. Using an audition/presentation platform participants will have to pitch their business idea and/or product to The Game Changers, a panel of 5 local entrepreneurs who are willing to invest their capital and time.
It’s a tall task, for the contestant to convince the panel that their business idea is worth the investment The Game Changers are tough and are looking for top-notch business concepts, products, properties, or services to invest their funds and maybe even own a piece of the pie.
Alabama AbM Business Department successfully produces future entrepreneurs yearly, and when education meets experience, it’s powerful The Game Changer will be a collaborative venture with the Business Department of Alabama AbM University hosting the 2hr main event. And thus, also receiving a portion of the proceeds as a donation to the Business Department. Three contestants will be preselected from the earlier reviewed contestant submitted applications. Each contestant will have 30min to present their ‘pitch’ The Game Changers will deliberate and same-day decisions will be made on each pitch. Investment amounts are at the discretion of the investor.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to hand selected breast cancer charities focused on early detection and survivorship in black women around the country.
